fayetteville airbnb

Hayden Lindy Langemeier is named after my mom, Linda. She is the second of our five and my first daughter. She also inherited my design gene. This past year we decided to collaborate on a project in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

This house belonged to a professor at the University of Arkansas. When she passed away, the house was going to auction. Let’s just say that it had not been touched since the day it was built. It sits on an acre in the historic part of Fayetteville, which alone is quite desirable.

After purchasing it, we got to work on the interior architecture. We had to move walls, rip out the entire kitchen, add windows because it was dark and dreary. We had hoped to salvage the wood floors, but sadly, they were too far gone. Then there was the issue of the exterior being ugly, so it needed a complete facelift. There were lots of strange spaces that made no sense and needed to be reconfigured. We decided to turn her sunroom into the Master bedroom and her office into the master bathroom.

I am including several before pictures and then the finished reveal!

It is now an adorable Airbnb hosting visitors to Fayetteville. It has even been rented to be used as a backdrop for several boutique’s photoshoots.  I hope you enjoy the transformation!
